No matter which way the tide is going, or where our canoe
or kayak trip is starting, we usually
meet at the Paul T. Given County
Park in Smithtown, (near the locally
famous big Bronze Statue of Whisper the Bull).
If you are using Mapquest, the Park entrance is located right across the
street from 405 West Main Street
in Smithtown,

DIRECTIONS TO THE PAUL T GIVEN COUNTY PARK
Long Island Expressway to exit 53 - Sunken Meadow Parkway. Go north on parkway to
exit SM3E, Route 25 (Jericho
Turnpike). Take Jericho
eastbound 4 miles
to Paul T. Given Park on right. Park is just past the Route 25 and 25a merger,
diagonally across the road from the statue of the Smithtown Bull.
School buses and commercial vehicles are not
allowed on Sunken Meadow Parkway,
and should take exit 52 (Commack
Road) north from the L.I.E..

DIRECTIONS TO THE NISSEQUOGUE RIVER STATE
PARK-
Occasionally, we make arrangements to meet at the Nissequogue River State Park-
Long Island Expressway to exit 53 - Sunken
Meadow Parkway. Go north on parkway to exit SM4E, Pulaski Road, Eastbound. Go East 4 miles to Saint Johnland Road. Make
a right. The entrance to the Nissequogue River State Park is up a couple hundred yards
on the Left.
